Is Intel worth the extra money, or should I just get a AMD processor?

AMD is just as good if not better than intel for less $$$. buy AMD

   John,

   It depends on what you’re using the machine for. IF you are going to be using it more for applications than I would recommend intel. If you are going to be using it more for gaming, then I would say AMD.

   If you want to overclock your machine, go with AMD it is much easier to overclock than Intel.

   If you are using it just as a normal pc then it is entirely up to you, personally, i’d use AMd because they are slightly faster because they handle memory processing different than intel chips, meaning that when given the same task it is slightly faster because the Intel chip isn’t as efficient.
